NEED A CAFFEINE FIX?

Many of you have already noticed that the coffee shop at the corner of Roscoe Street is back up and running. Under new management, FIX is a welcome addition to the street.  A great place to relax during these winter months!  As well as the wide range of coffees on offer, FIX has a great selection of lunchtime snacks and nibbles.  Free WiFI is also available.

Feel free to sing-along!

CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH-ON AT WHITECROSS STREET

Join Santa and his little helpers for a festive light switch-on on Thursday 3rd December.

There will be live music from the Joseph Buttice Experience, Lovell's Choir, face painting for the children and lots of mince pies and hot drunks for everyone.  The fun starts at 3.30pm.

SUNNY OLIVES WINS THE PUBLIC VOTE!

Islington Council's second Market Trader of the Year award went to Whitecross Street's own Sunny Olives. Serpil owns the stall and has been trading at the market for over 2 years.

She says she wouldn't sell anything that she wouldn't eat herself - and all her salad is made fresh for each day.  The only additives are olive oil, lemon juice and a sprinkle of salt.

The queues at her stall each day says it all!

Many know that Whitecross Street is the place to get a good coffee. But, do many of you know that we have a champion barrista on our market?  Gwilym Davies has been crowned 2009 World Barrista Champion.

Gwilym shook off the stiff competition and astounded the judges with his barista skills.

EAT YOUR MARKET

Every month, visitors to Whitecross Street are offered a free workshop on eating healthily and heartily with produce from the stalls.  The Eat Your Market events invite people to buy food from the weekly food market and then enjoy a cookery demonstration on preparing their purchases,  The Eat You Makret events take place from 12noon - 2pm.  You can find them on the market on the last Thursday of every month.  The next one held will be on Thursday 26th March.
